Kidderminster Nursery Fun Raises Red Nose Day Cash

Celebrating Comic Relief and Red Nose Day, Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster have spent the whole week in the run up to Friday’s big nose event with a variety of ‘red’ themed activities. The children have played 'Red Nose Skittles' working on number recognition, counting and physical skills. Understanding the World has been promoted through discussions about a little girl called 'Haja' and her story about her life in Africa. The children have also looked at the house she lives in and compared it to the children's houses they live in here in England. Nursery manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: “On our mark making table the children designed their own red nose pictures, which is wonderful for helping them with their fine motor skills and literacy development as well as taking part in a number of other activities including decorating biscuits and a 'Nose and Spoon Race' outside. “We have also held a raffle all week and the children dressed in red to help raise money, so far raising a total of £97.65 with a little more coming in later this afternoon!”
