10 Local Daredevils Take to the Skies for KEMP Hospice

A group of 10 friends from Kidderminster will be taking part in a Tandem Skydive on the 7th December to raise money for KEMP Hospice. Sam West, who has organised the jump said they wanted to do something to both challenge and conquer some of their fears, with a few of the friends being scared of both flying and heights! Another member of the group, Tom Burkett, will be jumping in memory of his dad Mark who passed away this year. Tom said: “KEMP Hospice helped out a lot through their Hospice at Home service whilst my dad was ill and most of us know someone with a life-limiting illness, so we wanted to do something to raise money for the hospice.” KEMP’s Hospice at Home is designed to support patients and their families during the last few weeks of life, enabling them to stay at home, wherever practical, rather than go into hospital. The charity skydive will take place at Hinton Airfield, Northamptonshire with the group hoping to raise around £4,000 for KEMP hospice by approaching friends, family and local businesses for support. To help the friends achieve their charity goal please donate via the team’s Justgiving website at http://www.justgiving.com/teams/kemphospice and if you would like to take part in a skydive or any other challenging fundraising event, then please get in touch with Elena Bloomfield at elena.bloomfield@kemphospice.org.uk or call the KEMP fundraising team on 01562 756066.
