Aladdin production a resounding success

A production which took many months to bring to fruition has been hailed a total success, with students at Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School performing Aladdin to a packed theatre audience for their matinee and evening performances (30th June and 1st July). Produced and directed by the school’s creative arts teacher, Mrs Jo Powell, with I.T. and production support from teaching assistant Becky Lees, this was a spectacular show performed by 90 pupils from years 3 to 6 from the Prep School. Mrs Powell said: “Every year I am amazed by the confidence which emerges through involvement in the Arts. A huge vote of thanks must go to our wonderful student ‘Tech Team’, headed by Mrs Schofield, for their amazing set design, building, lighting and sound. They make our productions truly magical. “When pupils believe in themselves and their abilities, they can achieve great things. Our students are amazing individuals and I want to encourage them to keep reaching for the stars, and they will shine!” The curtain may have come down on this production, however the senior school is already focused and preparing for their autumn production of the hit film and stage show ‘Hairspray’.
