Chinese New Year Celebrated at Kidderminster’s Little Trinity Nursery
Chinese New Year 2020, the year of the rat, is being celebrated by children at Kidderminster’s Little Trinity Nursery who learnt about China, it’s traditions and foods and took part in their very own Dragon Dance.
Nursery Manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “Celebrating Chinese New Year is always fun.
“The children take part in food tasting at morning snack time and make their very own dragon for their Dragon Dance which they do as part of their PE lesson.”
Promoting Understanding the World as part of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) ensures Little Trinity’s children have frequent opportunities to discuss and participate in a diverse range of traditions and experiences that they may not have access to at home.
Added Gaynor: “We always try to incorporate as many celebrations and festivals from across the world and cultures as we can, so that our children can increase their understanding of the many traditions and peoples of the world.”
