Creative Mothers’ Day Crafts

A special day requiring special presents had children at a Kidderminster nursery making cards, planting seeds and designing personalised wrapping in preparation for Mother’s Day.

The children at Little Trinity Nursery enjoyed talking about their special mums and made assorted cards and presents to give to their loved ones as well as planted sweet peas in decorated pots and made Teddy Bear hanging decorations and framed WordArt wrapped in their individually designed wrapping paper as a surprise gift.

Nursery manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “Special days such as Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to involve the children in a range of creative and fun play activities, which helps stimulate fine motor skills, hand and eye co-ordination and helps nurture interaction with others.

“These play activities maybe fun but they underpin their EYFS ‘Understanding the World’ and the children love talking about their families, their homelife and why their mums are so special. Happy Mother's Day!”
