Easter Bunnies and Bonnets Parade
Little Trinity Nursery children in Kidderminster have been busy making brightly coloured Easter bonnets for the end of spring term ‘Easter Bonnet Parade’.
Cutting, gluing, sticking and colouring at nursery and at home with their parents, the children’s brightly coloured Easter hat and bonnet creations were a sight to behold as they paraded and showed off their Easter creations.
Nursery Manager, Miss Gaynor Cater said: “Easter is an ideal subject to help the children focus and create wonderful bonnets, hats and pictures, making Easter both educational and a fun activity.
“Based within the grounds of Holy Trinity School, provides us with an ideal opportunity to involve the school’s pupils in our Easter celebrations, which this year involved 55 of our children in the Easter Bonnet parade, with the children parading in front of the school’s Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes before ‘parading on’ and in to the Senior School, with the children having a wonderful time.”
Parading around the school’s foyer, pupils came out from the classrooms, watching from the first and second floor balconies, clapping and waving at the children as they displayed their hats which made it a wonderful and memorable experience for all children taking part.”
Holy Trinity School’s Headteacher, together with school staff supported the younger children to ensure everyone could see and enjoy the creative hat spectacle.
Said Miss Carter: “All the Easter bonnets were fantastic. The children can now take them home ready for Easter, with this just one of the many activities they have done including making Easter cards and baskets to carry their Easter chocolate treats from staff home!”
