Fathers’ Day Celebrated at Kidderminster Nursery

Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster have been busy wrapping and labelling presents ready for this year’s Father’s Day on Sunday 21st June.

From the youngest children of 2-years and upwards, every child at the nursery created their very own Father’s Day masterpiece.

Nursery manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: “Celebrating special occasions is so important to the children and Father’s Day is a brilliant opportunity to just enjoy being creative and having fun painting, gluing, sticking and making fabulous individual Father’s Day presents.

“This year of course is a little different as not all our children are able to be at nursery. Our Yellow Bumble Bees are making cards and decorating poem frames and the Red Lady Bird class is making cards and ‘lollipop’ wall decorations.”

The nursery has been emailing families weekly challenges and sent card templates by email so that families could create their very own Father’s Day card creations at home as not all children are able to be in nursery to join in the Father’s Day fun. Little Trinity always encourages children to plan and initiate their own activities, as this helps to support and promote natural child development through play.

As an extra dads’ surprise the nursery also contacted all mums asking for ‘dad and child’ photographs to be emailed in so that on Father’s Day they will be able display all pictures on the nursery’s Facebook page as a surprise so that every dad will know they are being thought of!

Added Gaynor: “We do hope all our dads enjoy their special day!”
