Gainsborough Hotel Supports KEMP’s Girls Night Out

Volunteers and staff from KEMP Hospice are busy putting the final touches to their ‘Girls’ Night Out’ event to be held at the Gainsborough House Hotel on Thursday 16th March from 5pm. Celebrating over 35 years as a Charity, KEMP Hospice this year alone will support around 1,000 local people, their families and carers, with the Hospice only able to do this thanks to the continuing and fantastic generosity and support of so many local people and businesses from across the area. KEMP Retail Events Manager, Lilian Griffiths, said: "This is a hugely popular event and we have an amazing section of spring and summer outfits available for purchase, and as always it’s happening just at the right time to kick-start your must-have new season wardrobe.” Over recent years KEMP Hospice has received less government funding but continues to see an increase in demand for its services. Supporting local people, all KEMP's services are provided free of charge and delivered by a skilled clinical team, with the Hospice needing to raise over £940,000 annually to continue to provide these services, the majority of which is raised through voluntary donations and the support of the local community. KEMP Head of Retail, Lynne Jones, added: “As always, we are only able to run events like this through the continued support of local businesses such as the Gainsborough, the many generous donations we receive and all the help we are given by our volunteers in planning, setting up, running and modelling our wonderful outfits. “We are always looking for volunteers, and would love to chat with anyone at the event who is interested in finding out more about KEMP and the many volunteering opportunities we have available.” Tickets are priced at £2 and available to purchase on the door, with children welcome and under 16s free of charge. Doors open at 5pm and our mini fashion show will start at 6.30pm. For more information about the event please contact Lilian Griffiths on 01562 515757.
