Hairspray Production a Resounding Success

A production which took many months to bring to fruition has been hailed a resounding success, with senior school students at Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre performing Hairspray to packed audiences for its three-date run (10-12 Feb).

Produced and directed by the school’s Head of Music, Mrs Vikki Vincent, in what was her 15th show, over 40 senior students covering cast, crew and GCSE Events students on front of house, were involved to recreate what was a West End masterpiece in the heart of Kidderminster.

Hairspray is a great fun show with upbeat music and a fantastically positive anti-racism message of not to judge anyone by their appearance.

Mrs Vincent stated: “They have all been incredibly dedicated with rehearsals and regular practices taking place since last September. It’s also been really hard on the cast and crew as students had to miss rehearsals due to testing covid positive, so we were delighted that everyone remained well for the performances.”
