Holy Trinity Delight at School Games Gold Mark Award

Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre is delighted to have been awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year for the second year running. The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress. Retrospective awards, schools apply during the summer term, and are graded against a list of set criteria, with 35,500 schools so far applying for the award since 2012. Holy Trinity’s Head of Prep PE, Sarah Williams commented: “As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are thrilled that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded once again. “We are extremely delighted and proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible. We’re now looking forward to applying once again in 2019!”
