Holy Trinity’s Pupils Crowned Choral Competition Champions at Kidderminster Town Hall

Holy Trinity School pupils have been crowned champions in the Wyre Forest Primary Schools Choir Competition at Kidderminster Town Hall. The event was organised by Fred Holland in honour of his wife who died in 2014 following a battle with dementia and Type 2 diabetes, six local primary schools battled it out, with Holy Trinity School named the eventual winner of the Shirley Holland Memorial Shield. Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre teacher, Mrs Sarah Roberts commented: “I am so incredibly proud of the children, who worked extremely hard practising their two competition songs, in between their many other commitments in school. The choir were complimented on their harmony singing, soloists and disciplined and professional approach.” Compered by Rosemary Hutton the proceeds from the event will be shared between charities Diabetes UK, Dementia UK and the Fred Holland Centre for Diabetes at Kidderminster Hospital.
