Jurassic Coast Walk in Support of Help for Heroes

A personal desire to support UK troops wounded in the line of duty, Oakland Distribution employee Daryl Wood will be taking part in the Help for Heroes’ Jurassic Coast Walk starting from Durlston Head on the Wessex Coast in Dorset on Sunday 11th August. Said Daryl: “I’ve never done anything like this before, and I’m not a walker, so it will be a totally new experience. In my training so far I’ve managed to walk 10-miles, so only a few more miles to go!” The route will follow the dramatic Jurassic Coast, England’s first Natural World heritage Site, to Lulworth Cove, a distance of 26 miles and surrounded by stunning natural beauty and spectacular views. The trek will be physically demanding with Daryl joining a team of likeminded supporters of Help for Heroes and raising vital funds to support wounded, injured and sick UK troops for life. “Our servicemen and woman have fought courageously for this country, with many of them returning home with life changing injuries. By taking part in this trek I hope to help raise as much as I can to help support the work of Help for Heroes, a fantastic charity which supports so many who have suffered in the course of doing their duty.” he added. Daryl is being supported by his colleagues at Oakland Distribution and if you would like to show your support for the UK’s armed forces and Daryl, no matter how big or small your donation, please donate via: www.bmycharity.com/darylwood2013
