KEMP Hospice Swimathon a Splashing Success

Making waves, swimmers taking part in KEMP Hospice’s Swimathon on Sunday 18th May, raised a splashing £2,411.50. The mega Swimathon was held at Bewdley’s Feel Good Health Club, with swimmers of all ages pulling on their swimsuits and completing a mammoth group swim totalling 1,801 lengths of the pool over the 12 hour period. KEMP Hospice fundraiser, Sophie Bishop, said: “This year’s Swimathon was a great success, and it was fantastic to see so many adults and children come along and swim in support of their local hospice. A huge thank you to everyone for taking part!” KEMP’s youngest Swimathon swimmer was 9-month old Maryann Maddicks, who swam and splashed her way across the toddler pool for a happy half an hour.
