KEMP Retail cracks open bubbly as they pass £1 million pound mark
The retail team of KEMP Hospice are jumping for joy as they celebrate achieving the major retail milestone of a whopping £1,000,000 contribution made to the running of the Kidderminster hospice.
Head of KEMP Retail, Lynne Jones, said: “The success of our shops is down to our fabulous volunteers and our very generous donors, without whom we could not contribute to the continued development of services at KEMP Hospice. The Retail management team would all like to say a huge thank you!”
KEMP Hospice in Mason Road offers specialist care and support to patients, families and carers in the Wyre Forest and surrounding areas who are dealing with life limiting illness and bereavement, with the aim of maintaining patient’s independence and also providing support that will help them as they adapt to their changing abilities and enable them to continue to live their lives to the full, for as long as possible.
Shayne Taylor, Chair of the Trading Board said: “This is a fantastic achievement that has been delivered from an initial investment of £5,000 from the charity some twenty years ago, one that in any financial assessment must make a terrific return on investment.
“This achievement is about far more than a financial return it’s about the blood, sweat and tears, as well as the fun and laughter over the years from the Retail Team.”
