Kidderminster Mi-Restaurant Rebrand is Student Dish of the Day

Students and staff at Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre are enjoying a totally fresh eating experience thanks to the Miquill catering relaunch of the school’s dining menu with their new 'Mi-Restaurant' and updated cafeteria facilities. Responsible for creating innovative student menus for over six years at Holy Trinity, Miquill Catering, following business investment, decided to undertake a total re-brand and use the opportunity to update the school’s cafeteria installing new kitchen equipment, cafeteria signage, menus, and repainting and updating the student serving area. Miquill Catering MD, Simon Quill, commented: “Securing investment was fantastic. A challenge we relished as part of the rebrand was to create new food options that would entice more senior students at lunchtime, particularly those who need to eat and go to sports training or individual tutoring sessions during lunch. “The new ‘Mi-Choice’ and ‘Mi-Deli’ food options are all served with a free takeaway side salad so that we can ensure we’re offering nutritional balance across our menu range.” The freshly introduced daily ‘Mi-Choice’ hot trolley incorporates foods from around the world. Throughout the week theme days such as Mexican Mondays, Chinese Tuesdays and Caribbean cuisine Fridays offer foods such as burritos, enchiladas, crispy duck wraps, Italian meatballs, Thai green curry and mutton stew, all served with a selection of vegetables or salad, available to take away in biodegradable cardboard packaging. Students can also choose from the refreshed ‘Mi-Deli’ range of couscous or pasta pots, baguettes, tortilla wraps, sandwiches and salads all served in take-away biodegradable packaging. Headteacher, Mrs Pamela Leek-Wright commented: “We are very pleased with the developments made within the catering department, not only do the students have an impressive refurbished dining area to enjoy their meals, but they also have a wider choice of both hot and take away food.” A local business Miquill Catering is passionate about keeping its small company ethos, committed to using local suppliers to help continually refresh and review menu options that appeal to all student tastes.
