Kidderminster Nursery Celebrates Valentine’s Day
Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster celebrated Valentine’s Day with handmade cards, heart themed picture frames and heart shaped biscuits.
Nursery Manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “A child’s imaginative play is important as it encourages development across a range of personal and social skills and celebrating Valentine’s Day by making cards with lots of beautiful ‘I love you’ messages inside as well as picture frames and biscuits from the children to their families is just wonderful.”
Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honouring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.
Added Gaynor: “Every child in nursery from 2 years upwards was able to take part.
“They all had a wonderful time creating and painting their cards with handprints as well as wrapping their presents to give to their families at the end of the day.”
