Kidderminster School Double ESSA Midlands Champions
Pupils at Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre are delighted to be double category winners in the English School’s Swimming Association (ESSA) primary relay qualification gala for the Midlands Region at Warwick School on Wednesday 20th March.
Taking first place in both the Freestyle and Mixed Stoke ‘medium’ schools’ category at the Regionals means they now qualify for the National finals which will be held in June.
Swimming teacher Mrs Nicola Bainbridge commented: “This was a fantastic result for our students and for our school, achieving double Midlands Champion in our category of school. Furthermore, their achievements don’t stop there as Holy Trinity’s ‘A’ Team was also the fastest school in the Midlands Regional in every category of school!"
As a medium school Holy Trinity is eligible to enter mixed teams of both girls and boys.
Added Mrs Bainbridge: “We’re now
looking forward to taking a team of 6 swimmers to the National final which will
be in Sheffield on the 15th June 2019.”
