Live Band to Perform at KEMP Midnight Walk

KEMP Hospice’s Midnight Walk which will take place on Saturday 21st June through the Wyre Forest, will for the first time host a live band. Folk/Rock trio band, High Horses from Birmingham, will perform a selection of the bands hits playing music aimed specifically for this family event and to entertain the ladies as they limber up for their 5km walk through the atmospheric surroundings of the Wyre Forest. High Horses Matt Povey said: “We are really looking forward to doing the gig for KEMP’s Midnight Walk; it’s a great setting and all for a good cause. We are really chuffed we have been asked to play and we hope to give the walkers something to hum along as they walk.” KEMP Hospice services are provided free of charge, so fundraising events such as the Midnight Walk make a real difference, as annually KEMP needs to raise £940,000 to enable them to continue providing the range of adult and child services they currently do, with the majority of funds the Hospice requires coming from voluntary donations and support from the local community. Kate Wilkinson, Events Fundraiser said: “We are really excited to have a live band performing at the Midnight Walk this year, it will be great entertainment for the ladies before the walk and for the many friends and family members who come along to support them.” The walk will begin at the stroke of midnight, with registration £10 per person and open to all women 12 years and over. If you would like to enter as an individual or as a group, please call Kate Wilkinson on 01562 756077 or email kate.wilkinson@kemphospice.org.uk – you can also register www.kemphospice.org.uk to complete KEMP’s registration form
