London 2012 Olympian Athlete to support KEMP Hospice

London 2012 Olympian, Amy Smith, has shown her support for KEMP Hospice’s Swimathon which will take place on Sunday 18th May at the Feel Good Health Club in Bewdley. Amy visited the Swimathon venue on Saturday 3rd May to help promote KEMP’s upcoming fundraising event. Said Amy: “Swimming is a great sport to be involved in, and it is a good way of keeping fit. It’s wonderful that the Swimathon allows people to enjoy the sport as well as raise money for a great cause.” Swimmers will pull on their swimsuits ready for the 12 hour Swimathon to raise vital funds for KEMP Hospice. Participants are invited to swim for as many lengths as they wish, swimming in time-slots of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or a full hour, and even longer if they so wish! KEMP Hospice fundraiser, Sophie Bishop, said: “We are really proud and pleased that Amy is supporting our Swimathon. We still have places available for anyone wanting to take part, so why not make a splash in support of KEMP hospice?” Registration is still open for the Swimathon, and you can register by visiting www.kemphospice.org.uk or if you would like to swim as a group, please call Sophie Bishop on 01562 756066.
