Nursery Children Run Miles and Raise £680 for Charity Rudolph Run
Children at Kidderminster’s Little Trinity Nursery have run nearly 3-miles and raised £680 with still more donations coming in, in support of KEMP’s Rudolph Run.
Running a total of 117 laps of the gymnasium and aged from 2 to 4 years, fifty-six children took part jogging in teams the distance it would be to go from Little Trinity to KEMP Hospice and back, which is approximately 3-miles.
Nursery manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “KEMP asked if we would like to participate in their new event, the Rudolph Fun Run, and of course we said yes!”
Learning about how to work as a team and loving KEMP’s events, having supported them for the last 3-years, the new Rudolph Run was the perfect activity for the children to take part in.
Santa also stopped by to say hello before the children and staff enjoyed their nursery gifts.
Added Gaynor: “We wore our antlers and red noses and had lots of fun whilst raising money for KEMP, which is such an amazing charity.
“The children's little legs couldn’t run the 3-miles needed so instead we ran a relay race, with the children running in groups and then passing on to the next group and so on, and together we all went the distance!”
