Nursery Fun at First Ladybird Leavers Party

Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster held a ‘leavers’ party for children in the Red Ladybird class who will be saying goodbye to the nursery and going on to big school as from September. Little Trinity Nursery manager Gaynor Carter said: “This is the first time we’ve held a party for children leaving us and starting school in September, but we wanted to celebrate their time at Little Trinity so we decided to invite the Red Ladybird class and their parents to join us for one last party. A great day was definitely had by all!” Based within the grounds of Holy Trinity School on the Birmingham Road, the fun began for the children with games and craft activities on the school playing field joined by parents and staff members, before tucking into a huge Red Ladybird celebration picnic lunch and cake in the nursery’s outside play and activity area. Following their picnic lunch the children and their parents headed indoors for entertainment by the Magic Russ Show; the rest of the afternoon was then spent playing with new role-play activities including a construction site, racing car games, water and sand play and making craft picture frames, adding their picture as a keepsake and memory of their time at Little Trinity. Miss Carter added: “A busy and fun day with 47 children and parents who were able to attend as our special guests. “Many of the children have been with Little Trinity since they were babies, in our then baby room from around 9 months old, and some more recently, but they and their parents will all be missed, but we send them off with our best wishes, and we hope, many happy memories.” The nursery celebration cake was cut up for the children to take home together with a present from the nursery for each child.
