Nursery Leavers Party as Big School Beckons
Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster had a fabulous, fun time at their special ‘Leavers Party’ before starting ‘big school’ this September.
Nursery manager Gaynor Carter said: “We like to have a celebration party for the children in our Red Ladybird class as they will be leaving us this summer to start big school in September.
“Celebrating their time at Little Trinity is an important milestone for the children and for their families as we’re not only saying goodbye to the children but also to their parents who we’ve got to know rather well, so as you can imagine it can be rather emotional.”
Based within the grounds of Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre on the Birmingham Road, the day started with Magic Russ and Dave the Wonder Dog Show is first, followed by snacks and party games, including pass the parcel, musical statues and pin the spot on the ladybird, before going outside to play in the nursery garden and activity area with their friends.
Added Gaynor: “A busy and fun day with over 50 children and parents staying and enjoying the celebration and entertainment. They will all be missed, and many of the children have been at Little Trinity since they were 2-years old. We send them off with our best wishes, and we hope, many happy memories.”
The nursery celebration cake was cut up for each child to take home together with a present from the nursery, with the rest of the day spent having fun and choosing between role-playing activities in the construction site, mud kitchen, water and sand play areas and enjoying craft activities before the long summer break and big school in September.
