Nursery Make Christmas Cards to Support Library Appeal
Children at Holy Trinity International School’s Nursery are busy making Christmas cards for this year’s Kidderminster Library Christmas Card Appeal.
Each year the children from Little Trinity and Kindergarten take part and create truly unique Christmas cards which are then distributed by Kidderminster Library to the elderly and housebound in the local community at Christmastime, along with a selection of library books for them to read and enjoy.
Nursery Manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: “The children love to do anything creative, this activity enables them to use tinsel, paint, collage materials and of course glitter! , to make a special Christmas card.”
Using a whole host of creative skills the Nursery now has a number of Santa, Robin and Present card creations.
Said Miss Carter: “It is such as worthwhile cause, helping spread a little joy to the local community and to those people who may be on their own at Christmas. The activity also helps develop the children’s fine motor skills as each child has to write their name on the inside of the Christmas card.”
