Nursery Wear Orange Day for Bella Raises £100
Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster took part in a charity ‘wear orange day’ in support of a pupil at Holy Trinity School currently undergoing treatment for T cell Leukaemia at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and raised an amazing £100 in the process!
With donated raffle prizes and an orange theme, representing the Leukaemia Awareness Ribbon, the nursery children made a range of orange picture creations and wore all things orange for the day for this very worthwhile cause.
Nursery Manager Gaynor Carter said: “As a nursery we wanted to show our support to Bella and her family at this very difficult time, so we decided to hold our very own fundraiser-raffle, which is in addition to the fundraising organised by her school and friends.”
Leukaemia is the most common childhood cancer and accounts for nearly a third of all cases in Great Britain.
Added Gaynor: “We are overwhelmed and so grateful to all our nursery families for all their support in making our ‘wear orange day’ for Bella such a success. Thank you!”
