Oakland International Director Finalist in FTA Everywoman Transport & Logistics Awards

Oakland International Operations Director, Lynsey McIntosh has been shortlisted in the Warehousing category of the FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards to be held in London on Thursday 26th May 2016. A celebration of successful and inspiring women working within the transport and logistics industry, the awards are now in their ninth year and acknowledge outstanding role models, their contribution, personal drive and ambition, and aim to promote the extensive career opportunities available across the industry with finalists ranging from engineers to warehousing managers and HGV drivers. Selected as a finalist in the Warehousing Award: Awarded to a woman who is excelling in her role within a warehousing environment, Oakland International director, Lynsey McIntosh, commented: “To be shortlisted in the Warehousing category and to join the other finalists in the FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards is a privilege and an honour.” With the gender imbalance still evident within the logistics sector, the Awards aim to raise the profile of the sector and encourage diversity within it in order to attract high calibre staff and ultimately ensure the sector remains competitive.
