Pupils dress to impress for World Book Day
Pupils at Holy Trinity enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book character in celebration of World Book Day on Thursday 6th March.
Throughout the day the children took part in a wide variety of workshops and activities, including a Grand Costume Parade around the whole school, creating their own recipe book jam-packed with their favourite recipes.
Head of Prep, Mr Jon Brunt, said: “World Book Day offers the opportunity to explore and celebrate many kinds of literature and participate in a range of educational activity workshops.
“Parading around the school is always popular with the younger pupils as it provides them with the opportunity to show off their wonderful costumes. Staff also joined in the parade, so it’s always a great deal of fun and something the children remember with much affection.”
Taking part in language activities, story-time and creating a range of artwork to celebrate the day, the pupils had also been challenged in the days leading up to World Book Day, to take a picture of themselves reading a book in an unusual place, with some very interesting and surprising results!
