School PA Officially Open Playground

The Parents Association (PA) at Holy Trinity International School in Kidderminster officially opened the Prep School’s new playground facilities which had been funded by the PA and installed over the summer holidays by parents who kindly donated their time to ensure it was ready in time for the autumn term. Chair of the PA, Mrs Michelle Howles commented: “On behalf of the PA, can I thank everyone involved and for helping us to successfully install the prep playground in just one day! “We could not have done it without so much help - and so many loaned tools! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Together we have achieved a spectacular result which the children are now thoroughly enjoying. This wholly team effort has created a wonderful facility for our children to enjoy for many years to come.” Timber for the project was sourced and supplied from a local sawmill M&M Timber from Mable near the Wyre Forest. After officially cutting the ribbon on the playground, Prep School pupils waited patiently as they took turns on the climbing ropes, bars, tyres and the many balancing activities now available within their new playground. Holy Trinity International School’s Head of Prep, Mr Jon Brunt commented: “We are extremely grateful to the PA and our parents, for helping make this a reality. The installation of additional apparatus will assist pupils develop coordination and learn valuable social skills such as team work, patience and communication methods to assist as they expand their risk taking abilities. “With an all weather safety surface around the equipment, Prep School pupils will be able to participate in playground activities safely all year round, whatever the weather!”
