St John’s Shows Support for KEMP Hospice Cardless Christmas Campaign

Joining around 100 other amazing community groups and businesses from across the Wyre Forest, the St John’s Club has in the last 12 months helped raise just under £1500 for KEMP Hospice. The idea of KEMP’s campaign is that instead of sending Christmas cards, people write a festive message on a Christmas Poster and donate the money they would have spent on a card to KEMP Hospice. Fundraising administrator, Julie Hicks, explained: “KEMP continue to be overwhelmed with the time and the effort the club give to help KEMP raise vital funds to support the work of the Hospice.   KEMP Hospice couldn’t provide hospice services and support without the help of the local community and organisations such as the St John’s Club. With all KEMP Hospice services provided free of charge and delivered by a skilled clinical team, the Hospice needs annually to raise £940,000 - the majority of which is made up from voluntary contributions, donations and events. St John’s Club secretary, Martin Williams, said, “St John’s has been giving continuous support to KEMP Hospice for many years now, starting when our vice president, John Lacey, was diagnosed with Motor Neuron diseases and needed  to use KEMP Services. Since then many of their members have been showing their support for our local Hospice.
