Students Raise £600 for Macmillan
Students, staff and open morning visitors at Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity International School (HTIS) enjoyed homemade cakes and a hot drink or two, helping raise £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of this year’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
Taking inspiration from sister IES schools from across the world, each of the four houses dressed in the typical dress of the country and decorated cakes in the national colours of Hungary, South Africa, South America and Britain.
Head student Chelsea Savoy said: “We really enjoyed taking part and helping support such a wonderful charity. Students, parents and staff sampled our many homemade cakes and sweets on sale in the senior school; raising an amazing £600 in just over two hours.
“We would like to thank everyone for attending our coffee morning and at the same time helping support Macmillan Cancer Support.”
Visiting families attending the school’s weekly Open Fridays, held between 8:45am to 11:30am, joined in buying and sampling the many cakes and sweets on offer.
