Sweet Valentines at Kidderminster Nursery

Valentine wishes, and chocolate treats were the order of the day at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster as the children celebrated Valentine’s Day. Nursery Manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: “Valentine’s Day means chocolates and lots of lovely warm ‘I love you’ messages from the children to their families which is just wonderful. “Creative play is positive encouragement in the development of a range of personal and social skills; with this loving activity accessible to our youngest children from 2 years of age and up.” Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honouring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country. Miss Carter added: “The children had a wonderful time creating and painting their Valentine cards with handprints and helping to wrap little chocolate presents to give to their families at the end of the day.”
