Wyre Forest MP and National Director of Sport for ISA Congratulate Students Sporting Achievements

Once again swimmers from the preparatory and senior schools of Holy Trinity International School have excelled this year securing a number of wins, and have been honoured at a special school assembly, presented with their awards by Gwillam Price, National Director of Sport for ISA (Independent Schools Association) and joined by Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier. The school’s prep students, competing against 26 other independent schools across the region, took overall first place in the Midland ISA Gala Junior Schools, with both individual and team performances now chosen to represent the Midlands Swimming Team at the National ISA Swimming Championships in Coventry on Saturday 13th January 2013. Gwillam Price, National Director of Sport for ISA, commented: “It was a such a pleasure to visit Holy Trinity again to present major ISA Awards to the pupils who were so successful at the Regional Swimming Galas. A 'clean sweep' in the team results for girls together with 4 pupils gaining the 'outstanding swimmer' awards are remarkable achievements for the school. “The Head Teacher Pamela Leek-Wright and her wonderfully enthusiastic and hardworking staff consistently provide excellent support, encouragement and opportunity to all pupils in a range of activities. Congratulations to all concerned!” Acknowledged with Outstanding Swimmer Awards, presented by Gwillam Price during the assembly, went to; Alex Rosser-Barnett (Yr4), Adele Reeves (yr6).Ellie Bainbridge (Yr5) and Erica Harris. People now going through to January’s finals include: Yr4 Alex Rosser-Barnett – breast stroke, freestyle and freestyle relay Yr4 Mia McCrindle – back stroke and freestyle relay Yr5 Ellie Bainbridge – breast stroke, freestyle relay and freestyle reserve Yr5 Olivia Jay – freestyle relay Yr5 Imogen Rhodes – freestyle relay Yr5 Ria Chance – freestyle replay reserve Yr6 Adele Reeves – breast stroke, butterfly, butterfly medley relay and freestyle relay Yr6 Georgia Lees – freestyle reserve and backstroke medley relay reserve Yr7 Isabelle Pudney – freestyle relay Yr8 Eliie Blakeway – backstroke Yr11 Erica Harris – backstroke and butterfly Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier, stated: “As a local member of parliament I couldn’t be more proud of the achievement of the Holy Trinity swimming squad. “Wyre Forest gave us four Olympic athletes this year, including an Olympic swimmer.
