Children attending Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster have taken part in this years’ Time to Talk Day which is the nation’s biggest conversation about mental health on Thursday 6th February.

The children took part in a range of thought-provoking activities including using puppets to help them express their feelings and emotions and by using a mix of puppets, the worry monster, self-regulation and conversation-starter cards, as well as their special emotions board to express all manner of feelings, helped them understand how emotions can affect us and how they make others feel too.

Nursery Manager Gaynor Carter stated: “Time to Talk Day is a wonderful opportunity for children and staff to share their feelings. Encouraging children to talk is so beneficial as it helps their personal, social, and emotional growth, as well as their communication skills.

"Talking about feelings ensures we all know help is available, leading to happier lives. Just knowing support exists makes a big difference."
